A PLACE FOR POETRY
I will periodically be sharing some poems here. Feel free to comment or even reply with your own work as a response. I critique/give feedback on things that aren’t more than a page.
The following are all poems taken from a self-bound journal that I did in high school. These poems will all have hand drawn images with them as well. The whole work is called “Lyrical Memoir”
“Progeny of the Palisade”
This is a haiku and drawing I did in high school. I thought starting with a simple haiku would be quick and fun. It’s hard to read, but the haiku goes like this:
Golden is that
Mane attracting mates
A note on high school haiku: I know the syllables are not traditional. That is because my teacher said that haiku can be any three-lined poem. I’m not too sure I believe that, but I rolled with it and this is the product of that process.
